Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how RevealEmail (revealemail.com) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you visit our website, run an email lookup, buy credits, or contact support.
By using RevealEmail, you agree to this policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the website or services. Questions? Email us at support@revealemail.com.
1. Who we are
RevealEmail is a reverse email lookup service. You enter an email address, and we show information connected to it from public and commercially available sources.
A free check shows whether the address can receive mail, which provider runs the mailbox, and risk signals such as disposable or shared inboxes. A full report shows linked online accounts, names, usernames, and profile photos where our sources find them.
We don’t create the information shown in reports. We collect, organize, and display it so you can make a more informed decision about an address.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- The email addresses you enter into the lookup tool
- Your billing email address when you buy credits, which we need to send your credit code and receipt
- Any other details you enter at checkout, such as your name, phone number, or country
- Messages you send to support
You don’t need an account to use RevealEmail. Checkout works as a guest.
Information about your searches
- The email addresses searched and the results returned
- The date and time of each search
- Your IP address, used to limit how many free checks can be run per hour and per day. We store it in hashed form for this purpose.
- Which credit code was used for a full report
Information in reports
Reports can include information connected to the searched address, such as:
- Online accounts registered with the address
- Public names, usernames, and profile photos
- Mail provider and domain details
- Disposable-address and other risk signals
This comes from public websites, commercial data providers, and other lawful sources.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Run lookups and show results
- Let you reopen a report from its link without spending another credit
- Process purchases and deliver credit codes
- Respond to support and privacy requests
- Prevent fraud, abuse, spam, and automated misuse
- Keep the website secure and working properly
- Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations
- Enforce our Terms of Service
4. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers. Stripe handles payment data under its own privacy policy.
We keep limited order records: order number, billing email, the pack purchased, payment status, the IP address used at checkout (for fraud prevention), and any refund or dispute history.
5. Cookies and browser storage
We use a small number of cookies and browser storage items. All of them are needed for the site to work:
- Credit code (browser local storage): remembers the credit code you applied so you don’t have to paste it again. It stays in your browser until you clear it.
- Pending search (session storage and a one-hour cookie): keeps the address you were checking while you go through checkout, so your report runs afterward.
- Cart and checkout cookies: set by our store software to keep your order together during checkout.
- Payment cookies: set by Stripe during checkout for fraud prevention.
We don’t currently use analytics, advertising, or tracking pixels. If we add them, we’ll update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but checkout may stop working.
6. Emails we send
We send service emails only: your credit code, order confirmations, receipts, and replies to your support messages. We don’t send marketing emails. If that ever changes, we’ll only email you with your consent, and every message will include an unsubscribe link.
We never send email to the addresses you search.
7. Who we share information with
We share information only with providers that help us run the service:
- Data providers that fulfill lookups. They receive the email address being searched, not your name, billing details, or IP address.
- Stripe, for payments.
- Hosting and email delivery providers, which store the site and deliver our emails.
- An internal notification service that alerts our team about new orders. It receives order details such as the order number, billing name, email, phone, and country.
We may also disclose information when required to comply with the law, respond to valid legal requests, handle disputes or chargebacks, prevent fraud, or protect the safety of our users and others.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
8. The people whose addresses are searched
We don’t notify the owner of an email address when it is searched, and nothing is sent to that address.
Information shown in a report about a searched address is separate from the information you give us as a customer. If you believe a report shows information about you that is inaccurate or should be removed, see section 15.
9. Accuracy of reports
Reports rely on third-party sources we don’t control. Results can be:
- Outdated or incomplete
- Connected to a different person with a similar name or username
- Missing accounts that exist but aren’t publicly discoverable
No result doesn’t mean an address is safe, and a match doesn’t prove identity. Don’t rely on RevealEmail as your only source for important decisions.
10. Prohibited uses
RevealEmail is not a consumer reporting agency, and reports are not consumer reports under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). You may not use RevealEmail to:
- Make decisions about employment, credit, housing, tenant screening, insurance, or eligibility for benefits
- Harass, stalk, threaten, or intimidate anyone
- Target or collect information about minors
- Impersonate another person
- Resell report information without our written permission
- Scrape the site or run automated searches
- Break privacy, anti-discrimination, or consumer protection laws
The service is intended for personal safety, scam checks, dating safety, and verifying who you are dealing with.
11. How long we keep information
- Lookup results: kept for 7 days so a report can be reopened from its link, then deleted automatically. Anyone with the link can open the report until then, so keep the link private.
- Rate-limit counters: kept in hashed form for up to 24 hours, then deleted automatically.
- Credit codes: expire 30 days after purchase. We keep the record of the code and its usage with your order.
- Orders and payment records: kept as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Support messages: kept as long as needed to resolve your request and handle any follow-up.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site.
No website or internet transmission is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. If you believe your information has been compromised, contact support@revealemail.com right away.
13. International users
RevealEmail can be used from many countries. Your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our providers operate. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
14. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including the European Union, the United Kingdom, and US states such as California, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Get a copy of your data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your personal information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where we rely on it
- Appeal a decision we make about your request
To make a request, email support@revealemail.com from the email address you used at checkout, and include your order number if you have one. We may ask for more information to verify your identity, and we’ll respond within 30 days. Some records, such as payment records, must be kept where the law requires it. We won’t treat you differently for exercising your rights.
15. Requests about information in reports
If you believe RevealEmail shows information about you that is inaccurate, outdated, or should be removed, email support@revealemail.com with:
- The email address the report is about
- What information you want reviewed or removed, with a report link or screenshot if you have one
- The reason for your request
We’ll review the request and delete any stored report for that address. Removing information from RevealEmail doesn’t remove it from the original website or data source. To remove it there, contact that source directly.
16. Children
RevealEmail is not intended for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
17. Third-party links
Our website and reports may link to other websites and platforms. We’re not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so review their policies before using them.
18. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we’ll make it clear on the website. Continued use of RevealEmail after an update means you accept the revised policy.
